Born and raised in Jackson Louisiana, join the US Army in 1969 and served in Vietium for two tours, and Later joined the army Reserve in 1973 and was a sergeant E5 when he was discharged in 1975. Peterson joined WXOK-AM a division of City-Wide Communication’s in 1985 under Dennis Lee where he started as a weekend on-air personality under the name “Disco Bruce” where he played Blues, Gospel, and Jazz from 8pm till 1am where he continue to serve as a celebrated veteran on-air personality.
